Ingenious Med Named a TAG Top 40 Innovative Technology Company

ATLANTA – Feb. 15, 2017 – Ingenious Med, developer of the nation’s leading point-of-care solution for aligning physicians and care teams, today was named one of Georgia’s Top 40 Innovative Technology Companies by The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG).

TAG’S Top 40 Awards recognize Georgia-based technology companies for their innovation, financial impact, and their efforts at spreading awareness of Georgia’s technology initiatives throughout the U.S. and globally. Selected from more than 110 applications submitted by companies across Georgia, Ingenious Med will be recognized and showcased in the “Top 40”  exhibition during the 2017 Georgia Technology Summit (GTS) on March 23 at the Cobb Galleria Centre.

“The 2017 Top 40 finalists are an elite group of innovators who represent the very best of Georgia’s Technology community,” said Larry Williams, president and CEO of TAG. “The 2017 Top 40 finalists are shining examples of what makes our state such a hotbed for technology, and we applaud them for standing out as leaders in Georgia’s technology community.”

“It’s quite an honor to be recognized by the Technology Association of Georgia as a Top 40 Innovative Technology Company and being only one of seven on this list out the more than 225 health IT companies that call Atlanta home. Certainly, the level of talent this state produces and attracts has been a key enabler of our success,” noted Joe Marabito, chief executive officer, Ingenious Med. “Thanks to the incredible talent at Ingenious Med, our team has developed innovative solutions that help healthcare organizations transform their businesses by delivering some of the highest value-producing solutions in the industry.”

Ingenious Med leverages both technology and process innovations to reduce healthcare costs while improving the quality of patient care. Through its physician-designed mobile app, Ingenious Med integrates with and simplifies everyday clinical workflows – reducing physician interruptions and aiding in patient care communication and collaboration. As a result, physician groups and healthcare systems see increased revenue, better care team alignment, reduced variations in care and better outcomes.

“An extraordinary number of truly innovative technology companies participated in this year’s Top 40 competition, demonstrating the depth and breadth of Georgia’s technology community,” said Dennis Zakas, managing partner of Zakas & Leonard, LLP, CEO of Zinc., and chairperson of the Top 40 Selection Committee.  “In fact, based on the quality of the contestants, we could have had a ‘Top 60’ without losing a beat.”

The 2017 Georgia Technology Summit is expected to draw a crowd of more than 1,300 C-level executives, entrepreneurs, technology professionals and academia to celebrate and recognize Georgia’s technology community. In addition to presentations from some of the top technology influencers in the nation, the newest member of the Technology Hall of Fame of Georgia will be inducted.
