This year, our focus on this area was simple: cutting down on wasted time, eliminating administrative friction, and ensuring every service rendered is accurately captured. These updates were all about reducing clicks, streamlining processes, and maximizing your revenue potential.
Intelligent Coding & Compliance
The days of manual and error-prone coding are over. We’re leveraging cutting-edge technology to turn complex clinical documentation into accurate, compliant charges instantly.
- 💫 Spotlight feature: AI Charge Capture. This game-changing feature uses AI to intelligently read your clinical notes to make billing code recommendations. This dramatically streamlines your charge capture workflows, reduces the risk of missed revenue due to under-coding, and ensures you are compliant from the start.
- Improved Missing Bills Logic: When both Charge-Note Reconciliation and Document viewing are enabled, the system now automatically links the supporting clinical documentation to the Bill Summary upon charge creation. This ensures a clear audit trail and immediate compliance for every charge you create.
Rapid Patient Management
For users with high patient volume, every second spent navigating the system is a second taken away from patient care. These updates are designed to make finding and managing patient data as quick and easy as possible.
- Paged Charges Enhancement: For complex patients with more than 25 charges, the Charges Widget now displays the total count and provides easy to use navigation arrows. This improves efficiency and accuracy in tracking billing information, reducing time spent searching for specific charges.
- Sort Most Frequently Used (MFU) Diagnosis: We’ve added the ability to sort your MFU diagnosis list. This gives you greater control over the order of your most used codes, significantly reducing scrolling and clicks during the charge capture process.
2. User Experience & Consistency (UX/UI):A More Intuitive Platform
We continue to invest in our system’s usability, visual design, and interface to reduce cognitive burden and make our platform a pleasure to use. Our goal is to ensure a consistent, streamlined experience across all workflows.
- Unified Patient Demographics Editing: The Edit Patient Demographics fly out in Enterprise Billing now mirrors the design in the patients tab. Insurance changes made here are now retained on the patient’s record, giving you a dependable and reliable user experience regardless of where you are in the application.
- Modernized Administrative Views: We’ve updated the Edit Users UI with a modernized design and visual indicator for licenses in use versus licenses available. This gives admins clearer visibility into license allocation and helps optimize resource usage.
- Streamlined Billing Interface: The New/Edit Bill interface has been updated to improve usability and reduce visual clutter, making it easier to navigate and complete your billing workflows more efficiently.
Faster Document Review
- Document Viewing Enhancement: You can now view the document authenticator and type by simply hovering over the EHR Clinical Notes. This provides immediate context, allowing you to confirm document details without having to click to open each file.
- Clarity in Patient Forms: When assessing patient forms, the “Date Created” field now aligns with the Date of Service. This simple fix improves clarity and reduces confusion, especially for clinical teams trying to locate relevant documents for a specific encounter.
3. Analytics & Reporting: Data When you need it, Faster
Our focus here was on data integrity, report performance, and enhancing the clarity of the financial and operational insights you rely on.
- Substantial Performance Improvements: On average, our overnight processes are completing a remarkable 40 minutes faster in 2025. This means your Report/Dashboard generation is quicker, and your critical subscription deliveries are timelier, ensuring that your financial insights are delivered and readily available every morning.
- Clearer Data Exports: We’ve increased the Expanded Web Log export capacity to 100K rows of data per file. This allows for larger, more comprehensive data pulls in a single export for your deep-dive analyses.
- Management Report Clarity: We enhanced the help text in 16 of our management reports, adding clearer explanations and informative tables. These improvements make the reports easier to understand, reducing the need for additional support or training.
- Financial Reporting Accuracy: We’ve enhanced the Potential Missing Bills Report to improve its visibly and usability, making it faster for users to spot and resolve missing bills. This leads to more complete billing, increased revenue capture, and stronger financial reporting accuracy.
4. Security & Compliance: Protecting Your Patient Data
Protecting sensitive patient information and maintaining a clear, immutable audit trail is a non-negotiable. Our security and compliance updates ensure that Ingenious Med remains a leader in safeguarding your patient data and maintaining compliance with evolving regulations.
- Enhanced PHI Audit Trail: We’ve enhanced the Web Log functionality to include PHI access tracking from the Patients Tab. This strengthens your data security, supports compliance, and provides a clearer audit trail for leadership oversight.
- Advanced Analytics Data Security: For alignment with data security standards, the Potential Missing Charges by Date and Potential Missing Charges Details by Period datasets have been relocated to the PHI folder within Advanced Analytics, ensuring all sensitive Data is grouped and protected appropriately.
