Joe Marabito is Chief Executive Officer of Ingenious Med. With more than 25 years of healthcare industry experience, Marabito brings extensive senior leadership, SaaS, operational, consulting, and strategic experience to the company from his various executive roles at health care organizations, leading providers of software solutions, and other services organizations within the health care information technology sector.
Prior to joining Ingenious Med, Marabito served as President and CEO of ikaSystems, which offers an enterprise-level, cloud-based platform that administers Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid and Health Exchange lines of business for payers and providers. He also held senior executive positions at Medco, Accenture, NaviNet, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Missouri.
Marabito earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Dr. Liu is the founder of Ingenious Med as well as the creator of the original application. He served 10 years as the company’s executive chairman and CEO and now functions as a company director and CMO with a focus on overall vision and direction of the company and its solutions.
Previously, he was an Assistant Professor of Medicine, Site Director and Director of Medical Informatics for the Hospital Medicine Division at Emory University in Atlanta. Before his pursuit of medicine, Dr. Liu received a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Virginia and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Washington University, Barnes-Jewish Hospital. He is actively board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Liu is currently involved in multiple projects involving care coordination, patient transition and healthcare cost management and continues to practice as an ICU hospitalist at Scripps Healthcare in San Diego, California. He is an active member and Senior Fellow of the Society of Hospital Medicine and has participated on numerous committees such as the Society’s Benchmark, Practice Management and Public Policy/Practice Issues committees. Dr. Liu has received recognition as one of the nation’s Top Hospitalists by the American College of Physicians and was the 2011 recipient of Modern Healthcare’s Physician Entrepreneur of the Year.
COO Mike Pickering directs all aspects of operations at Ingenious Med. He has more than 25 years’ professional experience with more than 18 years in healthcare IT management. As the fifth employee hired at Ingenious Med, he has led virtually every aspect of the company, from technology and product development to sales and implementations. He then served in the dual capacity of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer before moving exclusively to the COO role in 2008. Pickering developed the company’s unique consultative implementations and onsite training model, which has resulted in a 97% adoption rate for the IM1 platform. Pickering is currently responsible for the sales, strategic account management, customer support, implementations, integrations and professional services teams.
Prior to joining Ingenious Med, Pickering led development at Patient Care Technologies Inc., a leading provider of software for the home healthcare market. He has a B.S. from the State University of New York.
David Lamm serves as CFO and Chief Compliance Officer of Ingenious Med and is responsible for capitalizing on opportunities to improve financial results and enhance operational effectiveness. He joined the firm with more than 20 years’ experience in managing finances for large healthcare enterprises. Lamm previously served as CFO for United Allergy Services, MedData and U.S. HealthWorks. Prior to this, he held prominent roles at healthcare companies Kaiser Permanente and McKesson Corp., as well as roles at three software and technology firms.
Lamm earned a bachelor’s degree in business from Ohio State University and is a certified public accountant.
Jim Keener serves as the CTO for Ingenious Med, with more than 32 years of experience as an information technology professional. Keener is responsible for introducing innovative and technologically advanced products for continuous development of the Ingenious Med application. Previously, Keener held the position of Vice President of Development managing the design, development and support of a large scale wireless billing platform with VeriSign Inc. Prior to joining VeriSign, Keener spent 17 years at Cincinnati Bell/CBIS/ Convergys leading both domestic and international development projects in the telecom space. Keener has a B.S. from the University of Cincinnati and an M.B.A. from Northern Kentucky University.
Scott McClintock is the Chief Marketing Officer of Ingenious Med. He is responsible for the company’s overall brand strategy and execution. With more than 25 years’ experience in the marketing and advertising arena, McClintock has held the top marketing position at a variety of telecommunications, health management and medical testing companies. Prior to joining Ingenious Med, McClintock owned his own consultancy firm where he established brands and built marketing departments for several healthcare-related startup companies. He previously served as the chief marketing officer of Alere Health, a care management solutions company. McClintock earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science and marketing from the University of Texas.
